The Role

You'll become part of one of our fun, friendly and dedicated teams who provide support individuals with various support needs within their own homes. There's never a dull moment, every day is different!

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support and assist the people we support with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances. We're also looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative when supporting with their hobbies which include karaoke, arts and crafts, live music, going for walks and to the shops along with many more activities. The people we support enjoy comics, art and also enjoy going swimming so while being a confident swimmer is beneficial, it's not essential

What we'll need you to bring;

  • Good communication skills
  • A caring attitude
  • A positive approach to learning
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and following guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers

You don't need previous experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC yearly registration fees too!

Shift Patterns

We provide tailored support across our Community Support services, with shift patterns falling between the hours of 9am until 5pm and will include mornings, days, evenings, weekends and public holidays. There may be times that hours will fall out with these times due to activities and events.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited along for an interview at the Carman Centre in Renton.
