The Role
You'll become part of fun and friendly team who supports six individuals, all with different support needs to live in their own homes. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same! Your main aim will be to support the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including shopping, housework, finances, medication and personal care.
The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.
Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, there’s no better feeling going home after every shift knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life.
Due to the rural location and some of the individuals we support having their own mobility cars we will need you to have a full manual, UK driving licence.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is;
- A full driving licence, due to the rural location of our service
- A caring and compassionate attitude
- The ability to work well in a team
- Great communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confidence to go in the water, as swimming is a regular activity
- Confidence in the use of computers
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, our shift currently fall into patterns between the hours of 0800-2200. Sleepovers, weekends and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of £96 per night.
