Involvement Lead Officer (Health and Social Care)

Location: Broadmeadows, Symington, KA1 5PU.

Salary: £27,622 pro rata.

Contract: Permanent, Part Time (21 hours).

We are a leading social care provider working with people with learning disabilities and additional needs to be valued and active citizens in all communities across Ayrshire. We are proud to have been supporting the rights and choices of people with learning disabilities in Scotland since 1963. With a strong commitment to the values and principles of the person-centred approach, we offer around 600 people each year the opportunity to co-design personally tailored community-centred lifestyle supports.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Involvement Lead Officer to join us to lead, plan and support the delivery of our commitment to the Charter for Involvement and maximise the participation of the people we support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the direction of involvement, fostering a respectful, collaborative and inclusive environment.

You will work directly with people we support across Ayrshire, social care management teams and Senior Leadership Team facilitating, promoting and raising awareness of methods of effective engagement with the people we support while enabling people to connect, engage and network with Local and National Involvement Groups. You will also be responsible for co-planning, sharing and implementing an organisational Involvement Plan supporting the delivery of all key engagement priorities meaningfully involving people we support.

Essential criteria for the role includes:

· Experience of leading activities with people with learning disabilities and autism

· Experience in developing, organising and supporting involvement and participation plans / activities

· Ability to promote and enable self-advocacy

· Excellent communication, organisational and report writing skills

· Ability to manage and balance competing workload demands and deadlines

· Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care
