The Role:
As the Senior Coordinator, you will oversee and manage the scheduling and delivery of care services, ensuring high standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be the main point of contact for clients, families, and care workers, ensuring that services are delivered effectively and compassionately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate care staff schedules to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor care quality, ensuring adherence to individual care plans and compliance with Scottish care regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and families to assess and respond to evolving care needs.
- Provide guidance and leadership to care staff, supporting their development and performance.
- Assist in ongoing staff training and development to ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards in Scotland.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and manage scheduling systems.
- Address emergencies and any care delivery issues promptly to maintain the quality of service.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in care coordination, ideally within the Scottish health and social care sector.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, staff, and external partners.
- Familiarity with Care Inspectorate regulations and standards.
- Experience using rostering and scheduling software.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and able to lead by example.
Desirable Qualifications:
- SVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in the sector.
- Experience with care planning and risk assessments, ensuring individualised care plans meet regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Care Inspectorate standards and other relevant Scottish regulations.
- Training or qualifications in leadership or team management (e.g., ILM Level 3 or above).
- Experience with scheduling and rostering software, such as People Planner or similar.
- Proficient in record-keeping and compliance monitoring for audits and inspections.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and adult protection legislation.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively within a care setting.
