Family and Community Development West Lothian has been inspiring children and their families for over 30 years. As a sector leader in play, childcare and community development, our Awesome Childhood Experiences create lifelong memories.

With over 100 staff, at 14 sites across West Lothian, our Mission is to give all of our children the best start in life. We operate a range of projects to meet individuals', groups' and communities' needs:

  • Broxburn Family Centre, where we have a Family Learning programme, Early Years playroom, Out of School Care, the Range Adventure Playground, children's groups, community play events and workforce development opportunities like accredited courses, workshops and our annual Play Works conference
  • The Dale Hub in Armadale, where our bespoke premises offer a Family Learning Programme, Early Years Playroom, Community Garden, outdoor play space, children's groups, the Dale Pantry (community larder/fridge) and community events
  • Simply Play is our childcare social enterprise providing out of school care across West Lothian and the district's first, fully, outdoor, woodland nursery. For Simply Play vacancies please see that organisation's own page
