Job Description
Based at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar.
This job is workstyle 3 - Flexi.
You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations, working from council buildings, working in service user’s locations and site visits and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Team Manager role supporting staff to provide assessment, support planning and review with Older People and Carers in the Forfar/Kirriemuir and Southwest Angus a areas of Angus.
We are looking for a passionate, committed manager to support staff working in social work services in this Locality. The post holder will lead and manage the older people’s team and provide robust scrutiny of professional practice across the service to promote the achievement of positive outcomes for Older People and Carers. This will ensure the Health and Social Care Partnership delivers its statutory legal responsibilities involving Adults with Incapacity, Adult Support and Protection, Self-Directed Support, Carer Support and Involvement.
You will need to evidence a commitment to, and promotion of, social work values within an integrated model of care. You will be required to have excellent leadership skills and effective interpersonal, communication, assessment and report writing skills and be able to work as part of a team and on a multi-agency basis.
You will joining a supportive team and will be provided with a period of induction and ongoing support from the Lead Officer and Service Leader.
