Job Description
Provide competent health and safety advice and guidance to elected members, managers and key partners operating in a proactive manner with autonomy and responsibility for the full range of Health, Safety and Wellbeing practise areas, including developing policies, strategies and initiatives and carrying out investigations, inspections and audits; and to identify and develop training in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.
Requirements

The Individual
This is a permanent full time post with an admin base of Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock. The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked as follows: Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm.
The full time salary of the post is between £44,390- £47,083 per annum.

The workstyle for this post is Mobile - 20-49% of your time in an office or other work location. Able to work at different/ multiple work locations. Occasionally works at home, or another location. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.
