We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a dual role that combines SQL Database Administration with Microsoft 365 Power Platform / SharePoint development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in database management while driving innovation through low-code solutions.
Your core role will focus on Database Administration where you will support our SQL and integration environment. You will also participate in project related work; this will involve in low code development using the Power Platform and SharePoint.
In this role you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in using relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) and ETL processes (extract, transform and load) tasks to move data between different IT systems. You will also have knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Windows Batch Scripting, Microsoft Powershell, etc) and the principles of source control (Git).
You will manage database configuration, including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation. You will monitor database activity and resource usage, optimise database performance and forecast resource needs.
You will maintain existing and develop new integration services to meet business demands.
You will draft and maintain procedures and documentation for databases and application developments and ensure conformance to these standards.
You will have experience of developing and maintaining applications using Microsoft Power Apps with a view to using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
You will have the ability to implement data visualisations using PowerBI and will be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
You will be an excellent communicator and team player with the interpersonal attributes to develop good working relationships with a range of ICT colleagues, internal customers and external suppliers.
Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
