This is an exciting new opportunity to join the Education Department and lead the Technician Service operating across our 7 secondary schools.

The post holder will lead a service operating across three distinct disciplines: science, technical and multi-media, working alongside our teaching staff to deliver on the Education Department’s vision of Everyone Attaining, Everyone Achieving through Excellent Experiences.

Working alongside our Principal Teachers, the post holder will have direct line management responsibility for multi-media technicians (up to 7 posts), including all employment relation matters. The post holder will also provide professional support to both the science and technical disciplines under school management.

The post holder will also support the delivery of the Education Department’s ambitious Digital Learning & Teaching Strategy, working alongside schools to explore digital innovation and ensure pupils have access to the most up-to-date digital technologies to support their digital skills.

Candidates should have a good understanding of the role of school technicians, as well as knowledge and experience of health and safety and wider regulatory issues which would be relevant for the post.
