Transition Head of Service – Children & Justice
Location: Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: 6-12 months
Grade: HC15 £89,325 - £97,556 p.a.

The Highland Council is seeking an inspiring and experienced leader to take on the role of Transition Head of Service – Children & Justice.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our community by shaping strategic priorities and delivering an outstanding service.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for the management of:

  • Child Protection
  • Corporate Parenting
  • Fostering and Adoption
  • Justice
  • Looked After Children
  • Residential Care
  • Throughcare/Aftercare
  • Young Carers
  • Prevention Strategy

You will deputise as Chief Social Work Officer when required.

You will have significant leadership experience in a relevant field, including managing change and driving service improvements. With a proven track record in fostering collaboration, you will be a motivational team leader able to manage complex budgets and provide best value for money.

Your expertise will help us drive innovation, promote equality, and deliver exceptional outcomes for children and young people across the Highlands.
