We are recruiting to the role of Reducing Reoffending Partnership Analyst within our Community Justice Partnership. A strong evidence base is critical in assessing local needs and gaps in services. The role of the performance analyst has been key in supporting development of the Community Justice Improvement Plan (CJOIP), supporting the Community Justice Partnership to review progress on the plan and to shape service delivery. The analyst ensures that the Community Justice Partnership has a robust evidence base which supports an innovative approach to the Improvement Plan and identify gaps in service provision. Critical to this is gathering feedback from communities, service users and those with lived experience.

Essential

Relevant HNC/D degree appropriate equivalent professional qualification, showing evidence of experience and ability to research, analyse and present conclusions. In exceptional circumstances consideration will be given to individuals who can demonstrate appropriate and relevant experience in this area.

Experience of application of statistical and analytical techniques and competency in statistical surveying and the application of information technology to manipulate data.

Experience of research, analysis and summarising/reporting on research trends.

Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office packages is essential and experience of other project management tools would be desirable.

Accomplished interpersonal and team working skills are essential as is the ability to deal with a range of contacts up to senior management level.

Desirable

Professional qualification in public administration or research.

Experience of partnership working.

Research on the reducing reoffending field.

Experience of maintain and supporting websites.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £32,892.18 per annum.

Responsibilities

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults.

Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
