An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead one of our smaller Primary Schools with extensive outdoor spaces, in a beautiful rural location in Moray… Applications are invited for the post of Head Teacher of Knockando Primary School. The Head Teacher will provide vision and direction in order to ensure high standards of education and leadership of learning. We are looking for a person who has the necessary skills and qualities to rise to the challenges and possibilities which this leadership role involves, within a unique and rural context in a beautiful part of Moray.

Requirements

To provide professional leadership and management of the school ensuring the safety of all pupils and conducting the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community it serves through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by the education authority under the overall direction of the Head of Education (Chief Education Officer). The duties of the Head Teacher are: 1. To lead and manage learning and teaching 2. To lead and develop staff, children and young people 3. To lead change and improvement 4. Use resources effectively 5. Building community
