Job Description

Our Occupational Therapy Team sits within Community Care and works to maximise independence for adults and children throughout Moray.

We provide specialist, holistic assessments and focus on providing Occupational therapy input in a wide range of situations.

Our work informs Social Work assessments for care, we support people when they are adapting their home, provide specialist equipment and we advise and guide carers and clients so they are able to live as independently and with as much freedom as possible.

You must hold a degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy. You must also be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We offer support to newly qualified professionals with both formal and informal training available.

There are opportunities to specialise your practice whether it is working with children and families or with moving and handling.

In delivering a range of services to the public, the council and its partners are committed to improving the quality of life for everyone in Moray and Community OT is an important part of this.

We will provide supportive management and flexible working arrangements to help you achieve a healthy work/life balance.

We offer regular supervision and peer support to promote your development.

Moray is a paradise for lovers of the outdoors, with many designated footpaths and cycle ways and with a fascinating array of wildlife for those interested in natural history.
