We are looking for an experienced professional to enhance the work of North Lanarkshire Child Protection Committee and our partners in ensuring a skilled competent approach to supporting Care and Protection of our children of North Lanarkshire. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the public protection context in Scotland and should have experience of public protection practice. You will also have an understanding of legislation and guidance, policy development, planning and experience in delivering learning to multi-agencies.

You will work closely with all multi agency partners at both a local and national level. The Senior Officer post will involve new approaches to the design, development and delivery of learning and development, ensuring compliance with the national guidance.

You must have a CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent plus significant understanding and relevant experience in public protection, policy, practice and improvements. You will also have a good current knowledge of child protection services and a good understanding of the legislative framework, policies and emerging themes, as well as experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training and learning and development opportunities for multi agency partners.

You will be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to commencing in this role.
