You will assist in the day-to-day maintenance, health and safety, deliveries, duties and tasks required within the care home and day care services under the direct supervision of the manager and senior team. The main duties of the post include carrying out day to day maintenance of the building, regular general inspections of the building; complete safety audit checks; carry out high cleaning; receive and check janitorial supplies and ensure the outside of the building is clear of any obstructions. It is essential you have experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance work; an awareness of general Health and Safety Procedures; good organisational, time management, literacy and record keeping skills and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals within the Care Home and Day Care Centre setting. Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the service’s commitment to continuous improvement. It is desirable that the successful candidate is enthusiastic and motivated with a pleasant, positive, and professional attitude. In addition, a current driving licence would also be desirable. Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
