Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.
Role Purpose
The post holder will contribute to:-
• Developing positive home-school relationships
• Intensive Family support with identified families
• Delivering Parenting courses with ELC & P1 enrolled families
• Supporting families to access 3rd sector agencies In order to:
• Increase attendance
• Reduce exclusions
• Increase attainment & engagement The post holder will work with individual children and families/carers.
The service is aimed at delivering early interventions at a local level thus alleviating the need for more formal referral procedures.
Essential
A sound educational background, preferably with qualifications to at least Higher level.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
