Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.
Role Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person, based in Peebles Registration Office, to join a small team of Registrars in the Scottish Borders.
This post is part-time and permanent and will suit you if you are a people person and fast learner with excellent IT and Customer Service skills.
There will be various duties including registering of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and conducting of Civil Ceremonies across the many beautiful venues in our Region.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate and support to achieve the Certificate of Proficiency in Law and Registration.
Essential
• At least 5 SCE Standard Grades at level 3 or above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics or Arithmetic or equivalent experience.
• Commitment and ability to achieve an appropriate level of Customer Service qualification or SVQ level 2.
