Role Purpose

The Children & Families Long Term Team East, based in Duns, is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our busy team as a Senior Social Worker. This is a temporary post, covering the current post holder, while they complete their MHO training. This is a good experience for someone to gain experience and progress their career or for an experienced Senior Social Worker. The role includes leading and line managing professional staff within the East Long Term Team, as well as holding a small case load of complex cases.
The post holder will follow Child Protection Procedures and work with children subject to child protection registration. Engaging with the legal framework provided by the Children's Hearing system the post holder will also work with Looked After Children and with children subject to permanence planning.

Essential

An approved qualification in Social Work and registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
