Job Description

What is the role?

To provide extended personal care to the most vulnerable members of the community, in a way that supports the maintenance of the individual’s independence and dignity and offers them a positive choice in their own home.

The Grade of these posts are Grade 2 / Level 5 with an hourly rate from £14.43 to £15.52:

Various working patterns available:

  • 40-hour posts (Full Time) (Dayshift & Backshift)
  • 21-hour posts (Part Time) (Dayshift / Backshift)
  • Supply posts

Please note there is a 10% non-core allowance included for backshift posts only.

Various working locations available:

  • Maybole & Girvan
  • Prestwick
  • Troon
  • Ayr South
  • Ayr North
  • Hospital Discharge Team

Successful candidates will be expected to travel efficiently and may be required to work out with their normal work area. Those who drive may be provided with a fleet vehicle, whilst on shift; more information can be provided at interview.

SSSC Registration is a requirement for these posts and renewal fees will now be covered.

These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidates will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

Please note you may be required to meet the PVG costs.
