SLLC 511 - Duty Officer (Health and Fitness)

Location : Strathaven Leisure Centre, Bowling Green Road, Strathaven

Hours: 14.8 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday and Thursday 12.30pm – 8.00pm (30 minutes unpaid break)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £17.04 - £17.51 per hour

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Strathaven Leisure Centre as a Health and Fitness Duty Officer. You will be responsible to assist the Recreation Manager in the management of the day to day operation of the facilities. This includes ensuring staff are managed, developed and reviewed to effectively deliver the Health and Fitness operation of the facility. Delivering staff training and ensuring the facility standards remain high whilst improving customer retention. The successful candidate will be working with our Health Team to deliver health programmes within the local community. Outreach work will also be required.

A current BACR (British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation) or PSI (Postural Stability Instructor) qualification is desirable and a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, relevant HNC or equivalent is essential.
