The Scottish Government has committed significant investment to local planning partnerships to enable them to build capacity and deliver transformational system change in how whole family support services are provided in each area. In Stirling this is a key element of how we will collectively keep The Promise.
We want to ensure children, young people and families can access the support they need, where and when they need it. We have created a multi-disciplinary Intensive Family Support Team which offers families access to holistic support that is wrapped around their individual needs. Our vision is to support families at an early stage of intervention, as well as at times of crises. This support allows families to build resilience and coping strategies with the aim that they do not need to receive support from statutory services.
This team is transforming the delivery of family support, shifting towards preventative intervention, reducing the need for crisis intervention. We are looking for an additional Intensive Home Care Workers to join this team as we further develop how we deliver support to families. This is an exciting and varied role, which will see a range of tasking to support whole families to be successful in meeting their needs.
We are looking for an individual who can partner sensitively with families and are able to build meaningful relationships with families and other professionals to achieve better outcomes for children. As part of transforming service delivery this post could involve working evenings or weekends, in line with the needs of the service. The post holders will require to be responsive to the needs of the service, and demonstrate flexibility in their ability to responding to changing need. This is a time limited post (October 2025) in line with the Scottish Government Whole Family Wellbeing Monies, with the potential for extension in future depending on the release of further funds.
