We are seeking an enthusiastic ELC practitioner to join the nursery team with the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer/Teacher. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and the staff work flexibility on a rota across the opening hours.
Our ELC work collaboratively to provide high quality learning experiences for all children. We are looking for a practitioner who will bring drive and a good knowledge of the early level curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate their nurturing approach and dedication to getting it right for children.
The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
