You will work as part of a management team providing leadership and supervision to a group of staff. You will take an active part in managing sickness and absence and assist in the training and development of staff. You will be responsible for the day to day cover of staff rotas and managing annual leave of a staff team.
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and auditing of care plans and in leading the assessment and review process for individuals.
You will take an active part in the ordering and auditing of medications for individuals as prescribed.
It is essential that applicants have previous experience in the management of a care setting and possess a SVQ 3 in health and social care or an equivalent practice qualification along with a supervisory qualification, suitable for a supervisor of a care service with a minimum of 15 credits at SCQF level 7 or above to enable registration with the SSSC.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
