Dundee and Angus College
Our standard working week is 35 hours and you will receive competitive pay including annual increments. There’s generous holiday entitlement – up to 60 days per annum for academic staff and up to 43 days per annum for support staff, as well as automatic membership of a career-average, revalued earnings pension scheme. Both schemes available are contributory and a tiered contribution is applied, with contributions based on your level of earnings. The College currently contributes an additional 17% of your salary into the LGPS scheme and 17.2% into the SPPA scheme. The LGPS and SPPA schemes are independently recognised as amongst the best available.
We support our working families by offering a Childcare Voucher Scheme through Sodexo (Saycarepass). These are offered through a salary sacrifice arrangement where you opt to exchange part of your gross salary for childcare vouchers and because you don’t pay tax or National Insurance on childcare vouchers, you can save up to £1,000 per year. The scheme is available on an ongoing basis, meaning you can join at any time during the year. For further information you may visit the website
In addition, we are currently working towards being a Carer Positive Employer. This national kite mark is awarded to employers who provide good quality support for employees who have caring responsibilities. The College understands it can be very demanding and emotional being a carer whilst holding down a job, and often alongside child care needs too.
We also take the wellbeing of our staff very seriously and offer discounted 'gym and swim' membership from £10 per month and a free employee counselling service. Sustainable travel is another key focus for the College, so we also offer a Cycle to Work scheme and have electric cars for taking between campuses or on College business.
Staff looking to save money on everyday costs can also take advantage of our attractive employee benefits scheme from Edenred.
At Dundee and Angus College we truly value the contribution, made by all members of staff, to the success of the organisation. We have an excellent range of benefits which are continually being reviewed to give staff an even wider range of attractive rewards for their hard work.
We are proud to be a Living Wage Accredited employer.
