Science Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Science Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team at Lomond School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to the science department, ensuring that all practical lessons and experiments run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.
• Ensure laboratories are properly stocked with necessary supplies, including chemicals, glassware, and safety equipment.
• Assist science teachers with the safe conduct of experiments, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring that it meets safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe storage and disposal of chemicals.
• Provide technical assistance to students and staff, offering guidance on the use of equipment and materials.
• Keep accurate records of stock, orders, and inventory.
