Advocacy Western Isles

Advocacy Western Isles is a charity working throughout the Western Isles offering independent advocacy. The Organisation works within the Principles and Standards of The Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA) and provides advocacy support to individuals and groups throughout the Western Isles. It is unique within the Third Sector in that it has a statutory obligation to provide this service.  Advocacy Western Isles has been supporting people to have a voice for over 20 years. The Organisation has an office in Stornoway and an Advocacy Worker based in Uist and is in the  process of re-structuring and expanding. It has a small management team and Advocacy Workers working throughout the islands. All the work is overseen by a Board of Trustees.
