Argyll & Bute Third Sector Interface
Argyll and Bute TSI work with the third sector across this vast and beautiful area of Western Scotland to provide a central source of knowledge about the Third Sector locally, local and national policy and how it might affect local third sector organisations, communities and citizens, and how the third sector can contribute to those agendas.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Argyll and Bute TSI strives to ensure a strong third sector voice at a strategic level within local and national planning structures and provide leadership, vision and coordination to the local third sector to better respond to local priorities, including through partnership and collaboration.
As the voice of the third sector across Argyll and Bute, the TSI brings the sector together to fight for funding and legislation. They provide support and development which helps third sector organisations and communities across the region become more resilient and achieve their goals.
Argyll and Bute TSI continue to support the local third sector and is driving towards becoming more effective and integrated across the region. At an exciting time of development these two new posts are integral within the core functions of Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface and encompasses support to third sector organisations at all levels and support to volunteer involving organisations. Working in partnership with other third sector organisations is key to the success of this role. The role is wide ranging and challenging, requiring great interpersonal skills, the ability to form positive relationships with a range of stakeholders and to quickly credibility in their locale.
Reporting to the CEO, the Third Sector Support advisors will be part of a team of four who will manage a portfolio of Third Sector contacts. They will also work collaboratively with their TSI team members to offer training, social enterprise support and advice and information.
A Third Sector Support Advisor will love building relationships, develop new opportunities and work with partners and funders to make sure the TSI reaches its goals and serves the community. While it will be helpful to know about or have worked in the voluntary sector, more important is your relationship skills, which may have developed in other sectors.
