Volunteer co-ordinator (20369)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate individual to join Barnardo's as a Volunteer Co-Ordinator within our Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire services.

We are looking for someone to work alongside our dedicated team to help deliver a service which will meet the needs of Young People and volunteers locally.

As our volunteer co-ordinator you will be responsible for the recruitment, induction, learning, development, and supporting matching young people with a volunteer. The role will include raising awareness of the volunteering opportunities and attending community events to recruit new volunteers. There is an expectation that you would support our experienced project workers and volunteers during groups and outings as and when required. Therefore, evening and weekend working will be required. Your role will be based in our Barnardo's Aberdeen office but includes community working in schools, family homes, and community centres etc. The successful candidate must have a current driving licence, access to a car and be willing to transport young people as required.
