The Crichton Estate is a place of history and beauty while being of educational, commercial, recreational, cultural and artistic excellence. The Crichton, as it’s known locally, spans a glorious 85 acres in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. It comprises historic buildings, a Business Park, several university campuses and commercial enterprises. It began its charitable work in 1839 and has re-invented itself many times since. It’s most exciting era lies ahead.

The Crichton Trust, which runs the Estate on lease from Dumfries and Galloway Council, has recently restructured and reviewed its approach to capitalise on the site’s potential and to respond to the current challenges in the business, public finance and educational environment. It has created an ambitious and dynamic ten year strategy and is now looking for an exceptional individual to become its new Chief Executive and turn the vision into a reality.
