We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Embassy of Israel team and serve as our remote Officer in Scotland for about 120 hours a month. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, cultivating, and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders crucial to advancing IsraeliScottish cooperation.
The position is based on a consultancy contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management and Outreach
Establish and cultivate relationships with various target audiences, including, but not limited to:
• Scottish political institutions, particularly the Scottish Parliament
• Church of Scotland and other religious organizations
• Prominent Scottish universities
• Leading cultural institutes, organizations, and festivals
• Entities involved in Scottish entrepreneurship and innovation
• Local Scottish media outlets
• Prominent public figures
• Local government bodies
• Friends of Israel groups and associations
• Representatives of Scottish BAME and religious minority communities
• The Scottish Jewish community
Event Coordination
• Initiate, plan, and oversee events and activities targeting the aforementioned groups, ensuring
alignment with the Embassy’s objectives.
• Facilitate the planning, coordination, and organization of official and unofficial visits by Israeli
guests in Scotland, providing necessary support.
Monitoring & Reporting
• Proactively monitor issues related to the delegitimization of the State of Israel among target
Scottish audiences, responding appropriately and raising awareness as necessary.
• Provide real-time updates on the Office's activities to relevant Embassy contacts.
• Compile and submit a comprehensive monthly progress report, outlining the achievement of
specific targets as per established criteria.
