About the Dundee Service
Turning Point Scotland‘s Dundee service provides support to individuals with a variety of support needs including learning disability, physical disability, autism, mental health illness and community justice. We provide supported living services, housing support and day opportunities to promote independence and choice to individuals in order to enable them to access everyday life experiences including access to education, employment and social activities. We will also provide support with developing relationships and maintaining a home. We work in partnership with service users, their families, health teams, social work teams and advocacy.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Practitioner, unlike other support roles, with Turning Point Scotland, no two days are the same!
Our Lead Practitioner role will include:
- Helping to provide individualised support to a young man with a wide range of needs while working in a team environment.
- Supporting the person within the community and engaging with their hobbies and interests & empowering him to develop skills and independence, promoting their overall growth.
- Attending various community groups and accompanying our him to attend activities he enjoys, He has his own car so being able to drive would be an advantage
- Assist with personal care, ensuring his comfort and all areas of wellbeing.
- Celebrate achievements and milestones, both big and small, to create a rewarding and positive environment.
About You
You will have a genuine commitment to use your skills to support people to live their best lives. You will be supported by an incredibly approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills. You will have flexibility to work on a rota.
A level of previous working experience in care is needed and in addition full training will be provided to you.
