Job Description
West Dunbartonshire Council have an opportunity for a Governance & Reconciliation Team Leader to join our team, within Finance on a permanent basis.
The team manages the council’s bank accounts/signatories, BACS users and controlled stationery.
In addition to this there are a number of statutory functions that the team assist with for including preparing VAT and CIS Tax returns for HMRC, processing and payment of arrestments and payroll deductions.
In this role you will provide guidance and training to all council employees for the statutory requirements in relation to VAT, CIS and assist in the completion of the statutory VAT returns for the organisation and other arm's length organisations.

Requirements
The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure check (Level 1) prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
